Description
The weekly classes will take your theatre making skills to the next level. Our workshops are designed to equip our senior participants with more sophisticated acting and theatre practices. Learn about the elements of drama, performance styles, acting techniques and script analysis. Through rehearsals and performances create truthful 3-dimensional characters, work on articulation and voice projection and learn how to hold an audience’s attention.
First term classes will focus on skill development and ensemble work, while the second term gives students a chance to use these skills and work together to devise a scripted show or perform chosen scenes from professional plays. Through rehearsals and performance young artists will gain skills in stagecraft, voice work and performance technique. Guided by an ATYP industry professional these classes will equip participants with the skills and terminology needed as they progress into the senior classes.
