ATYP On Demand Plus
ATYP On Demand Plus is a digital platform that provides primary educators access to a series of detailed, multi-week units of work that use Drama and Literacy strategies to teach content and concepts within the Primary Curriculum.
The program has been developed with academics from The University of Sydney including Professor Emerita Robyn Ewing AM, Mrs Catherine Smyth and Dr Alison O’Grady.
In 2022, subscribed schools will have access to six complete units of work linked to the following Australian Curriculum areas:
Our Changing Environment: Years 5-6
PHYSICAL HEALTH AND EDUCATION
Me and You (Understanding Ourselves & Others): F – 2
Schools subscribed to ATYP On Demand Plus will be invited to exclusive online teacher events throughout the year. These events include interviews with authors and Professional Development seminars with academics including Professor Robyn Ewing AM, on teaching cross-curricular programs and Literacy and Drama Strategies in the classroom.
Each eight-week unit of work includes instructional videos featuring ATYP Teaching Artists that you can use for your own professional development or to show students in the classroom as examples. All activities in the units are linked to Australian and State Curriculum content and concepts, making it easy to integrate the resources into programs and lessons.

Subscription per school for schools with an ICSEA value of 1000 or less $450

“We found the unit really fantastic for our class. It’s made it much more interactive and enjoyable for the kids – so that they’re learning but they don’t even realise that they’re learning. When it’s fun they will actually engage, and they will actually take part and listen, and hopefully learn…And it’s really good for us teachers to have something different to offer.”
– Vanessa Wallace, Primary Teacher, St Martin de Porres Primary School, NSW
“The material itself was really great quality…It helped our students to engage with often very abstract concepts in that part of the curriculum, but turned them into very concrete physical experiences which helped them to engage with it in a much better and much deeper way. Things they remember and keep talking about. It’s wonderful to find a resource that has everything involved. You don’t have to go looking for anything extra.”
– Jane Vaughan, Classroom Teacher/RFF, Railway Town Public School, Broken Hill, NSW
“On Demand [Plus] has challenged us as a team to think outside of our ‘normal’ teaching delivery strategies and become more comfortable stepping away from the classroom desks. The professional development helps to give teachers the confidence to deliver curriculum with a Drama focus. It ensures that teachers are equipped with the skills to deliver the program effectively and are able to adapt the activities to other areas of the curriculum.”
– Anna Stanton, Primary Teacher, Winthrop Primary School, WA
