Young Industry Studio

ATYP Young Industry Studio programs are designed for experienced young creatives who want to take their skills to the next level. Learning from industry professionals, the ATYP Young Industry Studio brings the arts industry and young people together to grow and develop the creative leaders of the future.

Members of the ATYP Young Industry Studio programs will learn valuable information and techniques that will enhance not only their performance and theatre making skills but provide valuable connections with the arts industry. Across a range of disciplines these programs provide practical training in a challenging, creative and collaborative ensemble environment.

Admission to the ATYP Young Industry Studio is by application or audition only. 10% of our workshop places are given to scholarship recipients to support young people experiencing disadvantage or those from regional communities.

Auditions and applications for Semester 1, 2022 have now closed. If you are interested in being notified when the next round of applications open up please email [email protected]

ATYP is a registered COVID safe business and we take the safety of our whole community seriously. Click here to see how we are protecting all workshop participants, families and carers, teaching artists & staff. As cases are on the rise again in NSW, ATYP will continue to monitor the situation and follow all NSW Health advice.

We have made the decision that anyone working for ATYP must be fully vaccinated or have a genuine medical exemption. We understand however, that not all young people have yet had the chance to be vaccinated so while we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that all young people aged 12 and above be fully vaccinated, it will not be a requirement to enrol in an ATYP workshop. We will be asking for information about the vaccination status of participants at enrollment. This information will not be made public or used to deny access or participation in any part of the workshop program but ATYP does reserve the right to confirm the enrollment of unvaccinated students in a course if asked. These students will never be identified by name.
