At ATYP we believe the best way to learn is by creating and by doing. Our high-quality courses give young people the opportunity to work together to create their own show, express their own views and perform it to an audience. Led by some of the industry’s most experienced tutors, all of whom are working professionals, young people build self-confidence, are challenged and discover valuable insights into the dramatic process. At ATYP you don’t just join an acting class, you join a community!
Our popular workshops are designed to be both accessible and affordable for young people.
10% of our workshop places are given to scholarship recipients to support young people experiencing disadvantage or those from regional communities.

ATYP is a registered COVID safe business and we take the safety of our whole community seriously. Click here to see how we are protecting all workshop participants, families and carers, teaching artists & staff. As cases are on the rise again in NSW, ATYP will continue to monitor the situation and follow all NSW Health advice.
In line with recent restriction updates to the NSW Public Health Order, it is no longer be compulsory to sign into ATYP spaces using the QR Codes. We will still be providing them for anyone who wishes to check in, however it is now optional. In addition, it is no longer compulsory to wear masks in our spaces. We do however STRONGLY RECOMMEND that students continue to wear masks where distancing is difficult.
We have made the decision that anyone working for ATYP must be fully vaccinated or have a genuine medical exemption. We understand however, that not all young people have yet had the chance to be vaccinated so while we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that all young people aged 12 and above be fully vaccinated, it will not be a requirement to enrol in an ATYP workshop. We will be asking for information about the vaccination status of participants at enrolment. This information will not be made public or used to deny access or participation in any part of the workshop program but ATYP does reserve the right to confirm the enrolment of unvaccinated students in a course if asked. These students will never be identified by name.
