Australian Theatre for Young People takes our role as the national youth theatre company seriously. To ensure our young people, artists and the wider community are aware of our commitment all our policies and procedures can be accessed below.

 

ATYP CHILD SAFE POLICY
This document demonstrates Australian Theatre for Young People’s (ATYP’s) commitment to the protection of children and maintaining a child-safe environment. Young people are the core of our business and during our more than 50 years in operation, we are proud to have enabled thousands of young people to take part in productions and workshops with the assurance that their safety is our highest priority.

ATYP CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY
Employees of ATYP have an on-going responsibility to modify our behaviour to conform to social and situational expectations. As Artists who work with young people, we have obligations imposed by legislation and by the unique relationship that we have with our participants in a creative environment.

Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) encourages its employees and volunteers to resolve any issues or concerns that they may have at the earliest opportunity with their immediate supervisor.

ATYP SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY
Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) has a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment in the workplace. If you have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, ATYP encourages its employees and volunteers to report any issues or concerns at the earliest opportunity with their immediate supervisor. The preferred process involves employees and volunteers being able to resolve issues to their satisfaction internally, without feeling they have to refer to external organisations or authorities for assistance.

ATYP PRIVACY POLICY
Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We understand and appreciate that patrons are concerned about their privacy, and the confidentiality and security of any information that may be provided to us. This Privacy Policy outlines our obligations to you in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
