Theatre Flat-Pack
Theatre Flat-Pack gives you everything you need to stage your own ATYP production at your school. Our team will work with you from the very beginning; from choosing the play to scheduling auditions and rehearsals, and getting you ready for opening night! Taking place over one to two terms, Theatre Flat-Pack can be customised to suit your school’s specific needs.
Not only is this a great opportunity for students to work with an industry theatre Director but Drama teachers can also use the program for their own professional learning, gaining new skills and processes for directing theatre.
As part of Theatre Flat-Pack, you and your students will receive an online workshop with the playwright or ATYP’s Resident Dramaturg, which includes a reading of the play and a discussion of its ideas and characters.
Theatre Flat-Pack will include:
- An ATYP play
- ATYP management of the production rights *
- An ATYP Theatre Director (the Director will have 50 hours of rehearsal time)
- An optional Intersection workshop on the chosen short play
- For an additional cost – an ATYP Designer and/or Stage Manager
* The cost of two performances is included in the price. For additional performances, the school will be required to pay $165 for each additional performance.
