The best month of the year is here!! We’re pulling on our party pants, putting carols on the playlist, packing up the workshops, residencies, commissions and masterclasses for 2019, and getting ready for cricket, sand, sunshine and the fat man in the red suit. WE LOVE CHRISTMAS!
I’m just back from Perth where we held the readings of the Fresh Ink thirty-minute plays. It was hilarious and the best kind of hard work catching up with our four emerging writers along with mentor Will O’Mahony and the team from Barking Gecko to get their pieces staged in two days. This week I’m in the rehearsal room with the Sydney writers and our Resident Dramaturg Jane FitzGerald. Claudene has put together a huge program run by our favourite industry tutors. Whether you’re interested in short films, creating comedy, solving a mystery, making your own musical, or just getting an introduction to drama, ATYP has been unlocking imaginations and starting friendships for over fifty years.
