Past the Shallows – Writer’s Talk, Saturday 24 September

Past the Shallows Director and Dramaturg Ben Winspear will host a special FREE event this Saturday, 24 September at the Peacock Theatre, Salamanca Arts Centre. 

Join Ben, Belinda Bradley, Franz Docherty, and Alison Mann at 4:00pm to discuss play writing and development. 

Belinda Bradley and Franz Docherty are the co-creators and writers of Savage River, the new ABC TV series and have also co-written The Last Resort, to be performed at The Playhouse Theatre 21-29 October.

Belinda is also a mentor on our Fresh Ink writers program in Hobart, an ongoing partnership with Archipelago Productions.

Alison Mann is a playwright and performance maker whose play Amy’s Tattoo was recently shortlisted for the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award 2022-2023 and will be performed at the Theatre Royal from 21-24 September.

This is an exciting opportunity for students, writers, playwrights and screenwriters, and anyone interested in learning more about the strong selection of original works currently being presented in Hobart.
