MICHAEL SWORDFISH
You read about those kids who know they don’t belong. That they’ve somehow been dumped… and they are in some kind of prison until they can turn 18, just stuck in the middle of the backseat of the car between two kids who do belong.
When so much of our busy lives revolve around the people we interact with on a day-to-day basis, what would happen if one of them disappeared? An assembly called, a footy game postponed, a class interrupted?
Who is Michael Swordfish? And who knows where he’s gone?
Michael Swordfish is the exciting product of a collaboration between playwright Lachlan Philpott and Newington students; a play that traverses the tumultuous landscape of the teenage experience with the sober truth and darkly comic voice of teenage boys.
