Description

This class equips students with the tools to perform rich and compelling scenes. Working with a professional actor, they will focus on creating believable characters, deliver natural performances and develop emotional connection to the text.

Class Focus

  • Voice and movement training.
  • Objectives and subtext.
  • Given circumstances.
  • Character investigation.
  • Working with a scene partner.
  • Body in space.
  • Making strong choices.

Students will work on a number of scenes from plays, film and television throughout the semester and will receive constructive feedback. This is the perfect class for anyone looking to develop their acting skills.

The semester concludes with our Open Studio, where students share chosen scenes they’ve been working on throughout the semester with family and friends.
