In this Masterclass, we will be discussing worldbuilding and character development through the lens of authenticity and lived experience. Areas of discussion include: fostering inclusive collaborations, representation of historically excluded communities and who gets to tell whose stories.
Jenevieve Chang – Jenevieve Chang is a performer, writer and story developer. She’s worked with the Young Vic and The National Theatre in the UK; and Bell Shakespeare, Griffin Theatre and Malthouse Theatre in Australia. She’s performed to audiences in London, Berlin, Luxembourg, Vienna, Ljubljana, Beijing, Shanghai and Montreal. After moving back to Australia in 2011, Jenevieve moved into writing and arts education and now works in story development for film, television and online content. Her book The Good Girl of Chinatown was published by Penguin Random House in 2017.
