This program is designed for young creatives who are interested in expanding their performance skills and adding new techniques to their actor’s toolkit. This semester, participants will develop and expand their skills working with existing text. Finding work written for teenage performers can be challenging so this program will expose our young creatives to a collection of works written for people their age. Participants will take a deep dive into character study, script analysis, blocking and staging scenes and performance techniques.
The Actor’s Studio provides a unique opportunity for participants to work with peers in a challenging ensemble environment while facilitating connections between young creatives and the industry. As a part of this course, participants will attend a show with their Teaching Artist and ATYP staff to experience and explore theatre with their peers.
Entry into this class is via Audition Only and commitment to every class is vital. Scholarship placements are available.
