ATYP home school ensembles are specially designed to help students meet Creative Arts curriculum outcomes while connecting with their peers, working collaboratively and learning creative skills. This course will take your theatre making skills to the next level. Our workshops are designed to equip our senior participants with more sophisticated acting and theatre practices. Learn about the elements of drama, performance styles, acting techniques and script analysis. Through rehearsals and performances create truthful 3-dimensional characters, work on articulation and voice projection and learn how to hold an audience’s attention. Classes run during school hours to fit students’ schedules and focus on using creative play and drama skills to boost self-confidence and self-expression.
First term classes will focus on skill development and working as an ensemble, while the second term gives students a chance to use these skills to devise and script ashow to share with their family and friends. Through rehearsals and performance young actors learn the basics of stagecraft, voice and performance technique.
